Debra graduated Pittsburgh Beauty Academy in 1977, one of the first Redken Trichoanalysis accredited institutes in the U.S.A. She worked as the right hand assistant to Leslie Bryner for 2 years. She then moved to San Diego in 1979 after testing and receiving her California Cosmetology License. Her career in San Diego began at the Salon, Beau Monde in Mission Valley.

After working for two years as a commissioned stylist, Debra gained a large and respected clientele. She then moved to the Clippery West Salon in Mission Hills. There she enjoyed a 22 year relationship with the staff, clients, and neighbors of Mission Hills! This long term association was interrupted by a two year move to Estie’s International in Mission Valley.

In 2004 Debra opened Kensington Park Salon in the small upscale community of Kensington with the partnership of Jeanette Scholz/Rogers. It is now where she calls home!

Her relentless pursuit to grow and reinvent herself as a contemporary stylist, has fostered a need for knowledge that keeps her on the path of education. Debra has attended the Advanced Haircutting Academies of Jingles, Aveda, Sassoon and countless educational classes and trade shows past and present. She is certified in straightening/retexturing hair in at least 5 different brands.

With 32 years of working as a stylist and now a business owner Debra is known for her practical and honest approach to working with her clients in a open and caring manner. Her intimate and artistic approach continues to be her unique signature!
